Meet Files and Information
Please make sure to RSVP for our upcoming ASA Championship Meet that is held at Georgia Tech University as soon as possible. Please be sure to either mark your swimmers as ATTENDING or NOT ATTENDING.
There are a few important details to note regarding the Championship Meet as the set-up process is slightly different than our regular meets.
This Championship Finals Meet is such a great experience for all our swimmers each year, so we really encourage everyone to participate and submit your entries! All the kids have such a great time here!
Please make sure to read through below or ask any questions if you have them.

RSVP/Entries are due by Thursday, June 22nd by 5pm.
ASA CHAMPIONSHIP
Session / Date / Time: Session 6 - Friday, June 30th - 4:00pm start
This session is held at the 1996 Olympics Georgia Tech pool which is a world class indoor facility. 750 Ferst Dr, Atlanta, GA 30318
Warm-up/arrival times will be communicated likely by the June 25th.
More swimmers we have, the greater chance we have at winning the Championship. It takes the whole teams support to garner as many points during the meet to compete at the level Highland Park is known for. Points are generated differently for this meet and there are many opportunities to earn medals!
Again, if you are NOT ATTENDING, please mark so and if you ARE ATTENDING, please mark attending and select the 2 events that your swimmers will compete in.
CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRY FEES
There is a required league entry fee for each swimmer for this year's ASA Championship. This $45 must be paid to Highland Park Swim Team prior to the meet as we are required to pay via one lump payment at the start of our session. A link will be provided to those who have RSVP'd.
ENTRY PROCESS
All teams are to use Swimtopia to complete entries for this meet. As you RSVP, and your swimmer will be attending the meet, you will also need to select the 2 individual events that he/she is wanting to swim by checking the box next to each event.
Yes, that is right, each swimmer is allowed to select which events to swim in the Championship. This process however MUST be completed by the same RSVP due date of Thursday, June 22nd. I will need to collect all the entry fees from all attending swimmers by Thursday, June 29th.
VOLUNTEER / MEET WORKERS
Each session and team are assigned a minimum number of volunteer positions. More information on what our teams assigned volunteer positions are should be communicated by end of next week.
STATE QUALIFYING MARKERS
Several municipalities use the ASA Championship as a state qualifying meet. If your swimmer is deciding to try out for the Summer Swim State Teams, you must follow guidelines based on your residency to elect at the time of entry as well.
For full information on state qualifying procedures for all municipalities please visit https://asa.swimtopia.com/grpa-state-and-state-qualifying
**** IF YOUR SWIMMER IS TRYING OUT FOR THE STATE TEAM **** please let me know directly prior to June 22nd. WE MUST update the names at the time the entries are due as this is the only way to elect your swimmers to try out for the STATE TEAMS.
Please send me a note if so.
CREDENTIALS
Due to space constraints on our pool deck, ALL non-swimmers must have and visibly display a credential at all times if down on the pool deck. If you do not have a credential, you will not be allowed on the pool deck. In addition to our volunteer jobs, we will have credentials provided to our teams for our parent helpers for our Bull Pens, getting to and from relays, etc. There are plenty of seating here within this facility. More swimmers that we get attending this meet, the more relays we can have and more credentials for parents to be on deck.
More information will be shared on this.
